Keyana Weathersby Obituary, JACKSON, MISS. — A heartbreaking triple homicide investigation is underway after two sisters and a toddler were found shot to death inside a Jackson home late Saturday night. The victims have been identified by family members and loved ones as Keyana Weathersby, Erica Weathersby, and young Camari, Keyana’s toddler.
According to the Jackson Police Department, officers responded around 10:10 p.m. Saturday to a residence in the 300 block of Queen Alexandria Lane following a report of an aggravated assault. When police arrived, they discovered three victims inside the home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities said the victims, identified as two women in their 20s and a toddler, were pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency response efforts. Police Chief RaShall Brackney described the incident as a “horrifying and vile crime” and confirmed investigators are treating the case as a triple homicide.
Detectives are currently processing evidence, speaking with witnesses, and working to determine the circumstances surrounding the deadly shooting. Officials have not released a possible motive or publicly identified a suspect in connection with the killings.
Police said the suspect remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous. Investigators are also searching for a 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage with Mississippi license plate HSI 205, which authorities believe may be connected to the investigation. Residents are being advised not to approach the vehicle or anyone associated with it and to contact law enforcement immediately if it is located.
