Jordan Rouse Obituary, SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. — The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of Jordan Rouse Friday evening in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Authorities said Rouse was found suffering from a fatal gunshot wound in the roadway as detectives continue working to determine what led to the deadly incident.
According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded shortly before 7:45 p.m. Friday following a 911 call reporting that a person had been shot. When deputies arrived in the area of Gorman Place, they discovered Rouse lying in the roadway with an apparent gunshot wound.
Emergency responders provided assistance at the scene, but Rouse was pronounced dead due to the severity of his injuries. Authorities later identified him as the victim of the shooting.
Investigators established a crime scene in the Ballantyne Commons area as detectives and crime scene personnel collected evidence and spoke with possible witnesses. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has classified the case as an active death investigation.
At this time, officials have not released information about any suspects, possible motives, or whether the shooting was targeted. Authorities have also not indicated that there is any ongoing danger to the public.
