Corey John Tiemann Obituary, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS — Corey John Tiemann, a 33-year-old Wichita Falls resident, has died following a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Thursday evening at the intersection of Kell West Boulevard and Austin Street. Authorities confirmed that Tiemann sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision and later passed away at a local hospital.
According to the Wichita Falls Police Department, officers responded to reports of a serious vehicle-versus-motorcycle crash at approximately 7:42 p.m. on June 25, 2026. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and found both vehicles involved in a severe impact at the intersection.
Investigators determined that Tiemann was operating a motorcycle traveling westbound on Kell West Boulevard when it collided with a black Honda Accord. Police said the Honda was traveling northbound on Austin Street and had stopped at a posted stop sign before proceeding into the intersection, where the crash occurred. The motorcycle struck the vehicle’s right front quarter panel.
A witness at the scene reported observing Tiemann’s motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed moments before the collision. The witness stated the motorcycle had passed their vehicle near Kell West Boulevard and East Scott Avenue before continuing toward the intersection where the crash took place.
Authorities confirmed that Tiemann was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was transported by emergency medical services to United Regional Health Care System, where he later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision. Officials have not stated whether the lack of a helmet contributed to the severity of his injuries.
Police also noted that the driver of the Honda Accord told investigators they did not see the approaching motorcycle before entering the intersection. Based on preliminary findings, authorities said no criminal charges are expected to be filed against the driver at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.
The Wichita Falls Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash, and officials say additional details may be released as they become available.
